As I started with photography, I tried to make a registration of reality as many photographers do. And so my photo's became registrations of the things I saw. But this is not enough for me. I try to express feelings and emotions with my pictures and the situations I need for this are rarely found in reality. Therefor very soon I made the choice to start creating my images. Instead of registration it became creation. I see myself merely as a director instead of a photographer. I create images and you could see my works as a photographer also as an artist. This is a considerate difference comparing to many other photographers.
The feelings I express in my images are real and the situations I create could be found in reallife so therefor some of my images can shock the viewer. This is not my purpose, but merely a result of the fact that my images confront people with themselves, through their content.
To achieve the desired result, I often create the scenes for my images. The reason for this is the fact that I can create those images that make it possible for the the viewer to "re-live" the reallife situations which he or she doesnot encounter normally. Images that, considering feelings and thoughts, take the viewer on a trip to a reality that is there, but for many not known.
